BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Our Board of Directors is made up of volunteer community members that are dedicated to helping our youth succeed. Our Board of Directors provides several realms of management, planning, and organization.
The Following are all independents, voting members of Boys & Girls Club of Central Southwest Iowa.
PRESIDENT: TIM JAMES
Board Member since 2006, President since 2022
Tim lives in Adair and graduated from Adair-Casey High School. Tim and his wife, Michelle, live in Adair. He works at Whitecap in Outside Sales. Tim became involved at the Club because he has a passion for the youth in our community and wants to help them succeed any way he can! Many youth in our communities think very highly of Tim, as he built a strong girls’ basketball program and coached for over a decade. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his grand kids.
VICE PRESIDENT: SHARON MARTIN
Board Member since 2018, Vice President since 2022
Sharon is a Juvenile Court Officer Supervisor for the 5th Judicial District with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Simpson College. Sharon lived in the Adair area for 20 years and raised a daughter who attend the Club regularly as a child. Sharon briefly served on the BGCCSWI Board in its early history and returned to the board in 2018. Sharon cares about not only kids in general, but more specifically, youth in rural communities. Sharon feels serving on the Board is an honor and she hopes it helps her make a difference in the lives of our local youth.
TREASURER: MIKE NOLAND
Board Member since 2008, Treasurer since 2016
After graduating from Adair-Casey High School, Mike continued his education at the University of Iowa to obtain his bachelor’s degree in finance and finished with his MBA from Drake University. Mike works for Caliber Concrete in Adair as the Office Controller. In his free time, you will often see Mike supporting his children by attending local band events, music activities and athletics. Mike became interested in the Boys & Girls Club of CSWI because he enjoys supporting our local youth and wants to ensure they have a program to participate in after school and during the summer.
SECRETARY: KARI SNELLER
Board Member since 2016, Secretary since 2018
Kari and her family live in Casey, and she is a graduate of Adair-Casey High School. She received an associate in arts degree from Des Moines Area Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from William Penn University. She has been employed at Wells Fargo for over 20 years and is currently a Senior Compliance Specialist with Corporate Risk. Kari became interested in becoming a board member because she is a mother of three and her children attended the club while in elementary school. “Our local area is lucky to have such great organization for being such a small community, I wanted to get involved to help ensure future success of the club for many years to come.”
SAFETY: DARI GRUBBS
Board Member since 2018, Safety Chair since 2021
Dari is a Medical Billing & A/R Supervisor at ChildServe in Johnston, overseeing billing for their Inpatient, Community-based, and DME services. She graduated from Adair-Casey and has lived south of Adair most of her life. Her three children all attended the Boys & Girls Club while growing up and are graduates of AC/GC. Dari enjoys volunteering her time to teach cupcake decorating to our members during summer programming at the Club. “As a single parent, having a safe, affordable option for after-school and summer care was vital. I’m happy to give back to such a great organization in our community, and I am proud of everything the Club has accomplished in the last few years, Heather and Jessica are doing great things here, and the support our community shows is amazing!”
JOHN FISHER
Board Member since 2002, President from 2010 to 2022
John graduated from Adair-Casey High School and then attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. From there, he sought a law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. John is employed at The Fisher Law Firm, P.C. and resides in Adair. He became interested in Boys & Girls Club through his brother, Martin and sister-in-law, Linda.
FORREST SCHNOBRICH (BRICK)
Board Member since 2012
Brick is from Casey and graduated from Adair-Casey High School. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Northwest Missouri State University with a major in Social Science, a minor in Coaching and a certification to teach Driver’s Education. He obtained his master’s degree in Secondary Education from Truman State University. Brick taught and coached at Atlantic High School, English Valley High School in North English and North Fayette High School in West Union. He served two years in the Army with one year in Viet Nam. Brick has owns the Insurance Store LTD in Adair and Casey. He has always enjoyed working with young kids and the Boys & Girls Club is something he is very interested in and wants it to be successful for our communities.
MEGAN IRLMEIER
Board Member since 2018
Megan is a current resident of Adair with her husband and two kids. After graduating from Adair-Casey, she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from AIB College of Business. She became interested in the Boys & Girls Club when her children were old enough to start utilizing the services Club provides. She feels that the Club offers a great place for children to go after school and during the summer and is something many small towns are not fortunate to have. Megan strives to be a great asset to the Board not only from a business perspective, but from a parent’s perspective as well.
